Our first glimpse from Monte do Gozo of the Santiago Cathedral in the city below brought tears. I found a beautiful spot to leave the Galician farmer’s walnuts where they will have a stunning view of the city in the distance. Five more kilometers to go and the pilgrims are gathering en mass. We will all walk down together in a group.

My next post will be soon (maybe a couple of days), as I am taking it all in.

Until then, Buen Camino!

Kristin Jarvis Adams' story of Andrew and Frightful is a beautiful and remarkable journey through medical mysteries, a reliance on a superhero chicken, and ultimately, a transcendent faith that ushers in hope when all else seems lost.

Words matter! Through your gift of writing, I felt like a pilgrim on the Camino. As you placed the Galacian farmer’s walnuts on a site looking toward Santiago Cathedral, I found myself placing the unformed objects of a broken heart and a wound slow to heal along side them. Thank you and Jon for sharing in some detail your physical and spiritual journey to Santiago. Buen Camino!
